Character Education

Character education is an important part of elementary education. It takes a strong partnership of parents, teachers, administrators, and children working together to develop positive character traits. Volunteers are needed to help with this great program! Parent volunteers spend about 30 min each month in the classroom teaching a short lesson that relates to the month's character trait. Contact Heather Cook for more information or to volunteer. |
Character Traits |
Our character trait for November is GRATITUDE. This month, our school is focusing on Gratitude as a character trait. Please print out our Gratitude Statement and post it in a prominent place at home. Another easy way to teach gratitude is to have family members take a moment in the evening to remember and share the best part of their day. This can be something done around the dinner table, or something you do when you tuck your child in bed at night. Simply taking a moment to be grateful can make a positive difference in our attitudes and our outlook.
