Traffic Safety Tips & Other Info

Friendly Reminder!
There is no parking on Scripps Lake Blvd in the bike lanes. Bicyclists are being forced into narrow traffic lanes due to the bike lane being occupied by illegally parked vehicles. Parents please obey all traffic and posted no parking signs when dropping off and picking up your children at school. Let's be good role models for our children.

Traffic Safety Video
Help keep our students safe before and after school!

Two Miramar Ranch alumni, Julia Hunter and Emma Hass, have created a short video with some traffic safety tips and tricks for Miramar Ranch parents.
Please take a few minutes to watch the video, and remember to slow down, pay attention, and be respectful and careful during pick-up and drop-off.

Thank you!

Use AC with Heater When Driving in; Cold, Humidity & Sunrise
A letter from a concerned parent/driver:
"Mrs. Crane,
I just witnessed a car almost drive over a mother and child walking across pedestrian crosswalk to MRE. Driver was unable to see well due to fogged windshield and sun in eyes. Please consider reminding all to use AC in vehicles to defrost/defog windshields. Many do not use air conditioning in vehicles when it is cold. Air conditioning in our vehicles takes out the moisture so that we can see well especially driving in the early morning sunrise direction.
I have seen this too many times.
Sincerely scared with what I just witnessed.
We will continue to work hard and be nice together!
Thank you for all that you do!"
