We Love Our Volunteers!
We have been very fortunate over the years to have had so many amazing volunteers willing to give their time and talents to our school and our students. Most of the schools’ events, activities, and programs are made possible because of these volunteers’ willingness to help. So whether you're a committee chair, a classroom volunteer, or a one-time helper. THANK YOU!
If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity, or would like to go on one of the field trips during the year then you will need to complete the Volunteer Form, and have a current TB test. Please read the "How to become a Volunteer" document for more details on the required steps and information.
New Volunteer Protocol
Volunteers are no longer required to complete a Tuberculosis (TB) test, however, the SDUSD has created a screening tool. New volunteers and volunteers every 4 years are required to complete a TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire before volunteering at the school. Returning volunteers do not need to complete the questionnaire at this time. The questionnaire needs to be completed by a liscensed health care provider (i.e., physician, physician assistant, nurse, nurse practitioner. You may have one completed by your family physician, or you may visit one of the TB Questionnaire clinics at MRE scheduled on September 26, 2017 or October 3, 2017 to complete the questionnaire with the school nurse.
REMINDER: If you would like to volunteer in any capacity including field trips, you MUST complete a volunteer application.
All volunteer applications should be turned in to the office.
