Miramar Ranch Garden Club (Formerly Garden Corps)
We need parent volunteers to tend our school garden!
In years past, we have offered students a Morning Garden Club led by parent volunteers that took place concurrent with our morning Running Club (from 7:24am to 7:38am). Parents and students worked together to tend the garden: planting, harvesting, weeding, mulching, trimming, searching for caterpillars, and more. Our organically grown produce was harvested and served in our school cafeteria salad bar through the school district's Garden to Café Program. The parent volunteers who led this program have matriculated and we are hoping to recruit new volunteers to take over the program. Set your own schedule: you could meet in the morning before school or after school, from one to five days per week. We just need someone with a willing heart to make it happen.
