We Love Our Volunteers!

We have been very fortunate over the years to have had so many amazing volunteers willing to give their time and talents to our school and our students. Most of the schools’ events, activities, and programs are made possible because of these volunteers’ willingness to help. So whether you're a committee chair, a classroom volunteer, or a one-time helper. THANK YOU!

If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity, or would like to go on one of the field trips during the year then you will need to complete the Volunteer Packet. Volunteers need to submit completed School Volunteer Application and Code of Conduct forms each year. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is also required to be provided to Lisa Charles at the school office if it is your first time volunteering. Please read the "How to become a Volunteer" document for more details on the required steps and information.

New Volunteer Protocol (TB Test)
The Tuberculosis (TB) screening questionnaire needs to be completed every 4 years. New volunteers (and volunteers due for their four-year renewal) must complete a TB Risk Assessment Questionnaire before volunteering at the school. The questionnaire must be completed and signed by a licensed health care provider (i.e., physician, physician assistant, nurse, nurse practitioner).

In most instances, completion of the questionnaire is enough; in some cases, you may be referred for further TB testing.

At this time, the school health staff are unable to hold TB clinics due to the time needed for student COVID testing at school. Volunteers may go to their health care provider to complete it. You may be able to schedule a "nurse well visit" to reduce the cost. An update will be posted on our site should any TB clinics become available at the school again.

If you are not certain whether or not you are due to renew your TB screening, you may check with Lisa in the front office, or simply return your volunteer application packet with the TB Questionnaire page blank.  If you are due for renewal, you will be notified and will need to have the TB Screening Questionnaire completed and signed by a health care provider before being cleared as a volunteer.

New Field Trip Volunteer Protocol (2022-2023)
There are new requirements for Field Trip Volunteers. Fingerprinting is required and you can pick up the fingerprint form in the office after you drop off the completed In-School Volunteer Form. If you want more information about this new requirement click HERE!

REMINDER: If you would like to volunteer in any capacity including field trips, you MUST submit completed School Volunteer Application and Code of Conduct forms each year.

All volunteer applications should be turned in to the office.

Lisa Kane-Charles is the school's district Volunteer Coordinator.

Allie Taggart is the school FFA Volunteer Coordinator.
